Valentine's Day Give Away Winners

I know some of you have been hanging out for this so I decided to draw my giveaway a few days earlier than planned! Originally I wanted to do two separate draws for the lipstick and the earrings but so many people wanted the lipstick so I am going to do one draw only and the first winner will receive their preference, the second winner will have to have what is left. Sorry it has to work this way but you still get a cute gift for free even if it isn't your first preference! Maybe you can re-gift it in a giveaway on your own blog if it isn't to your tastes?
Anyway, here are the two winners! I drew this via a random number generator so it was fair.
Winner #1 - Emily from Emilyluv
Congratulations Emily! I believe your first choice was the earrings! I will contact you before the end of the week via email to confirm an address to send you your prize to!
Winner #2 - Shanna/Kaelin
Your Blogspot profile doesn't have a link to your blog so I can't give you a shout out as well but congratulations! You didn't express a preference in prize but since Emily won the earrings you automatically win the lipstick! I will contact you before the end of the week as well!
So there we have it! Thank you so much everyone for entering and for following my blog in the process. I hope you stick around!
xoxo

Leather Shorts, Night Walks

Shorts - Dotti
White Tee - Big W
Jewellery - Lovisa, Diva
Bag - Forever New
Shoes - Jeffrey Campbell
Lipstick - Lime Crime
Sunglasses - Prescription
----------
I wore this outfit today on a casual Sunday date with my boyfriend. We were going to drive up into the mountains for lunch in a cute little town called Montville but the weather was pretty bad so we decided to go to the movies to see Silver Linings Playbook instead. I switched my Jeffrey Campbell shoes for some more casual ballet flats for the date but I wanted to wear them when we took photos because I only received them the other day and wanted to show them off to you! Aren't they amazing?
This look was inspired by Nany's Klozet and her "Celebrity Inspired: Miranda Kerr" look. I really love the simple combination of a white tee and black shorts with some cool sunglasses, red lipstick and great shoes for a casual but chic look. What do you think, did I pull it off?
I hope you're all having a good weekend!
xoxoRebecca
PS: I will be drawing my giveaway this week so stay tuned!

February/March Wish List

Instead of my "weekly finds" posts, I have decided to start doing monthly wish list posts instead. This will help me to pick 4 or 5 pieces I really want for that month/season so I don't go crazy and end up with a whole lot of clothes I won't be able to wear for a while until the seasons change again, and so I have a focus for my shopping for the pay month.
White Blouse - Forever New
I have been chasing a long-sleeved white blouse for so long now it's ridiculous. I'm having a really hard time finding the perfect one but this month I am determined to succeed. I don't care where it comes from, I just know I don't want it to be sheer or too detailed. This is a basic piece I am long overdue in owning!
Golden Touch Thick Collar - Diva
I have been lusting after a collar necklace like this since 2011 and yet for some reason I have never bought one. I don't mind if it's gold or silver, I just really want one for the coming winter months to wear with button-up blouses.
Bridgette Day Bag - Forever New
A black handbag is a must-have item in every girl's closet and for some reason it has taken me months to replace my old one which broke towards the middle of last year. I have found a few I like around the place but I really want something I can wear over my shoulder instead of like a messenger bag or worn in the crook of the elbow. I seem to be going against the trend for this right now which is making buying the perfect black bag rather difficult.
Forever New
Tailored pants are something that took me forever to buy in my adult life and then when I finally did, I somehow managed to misplace the one pair I owned! They've seriously vanished! So I need a replacement pair for work as the colder months approach but I am very particular about what I like and really prefer skinny leg pants for my body shape, and nothing else.
Scoop Neck Oversized White Tee
Basic V-Neck White Tee
And finally the last thing I need/want  are some basic white tees. I tend to prefer black in my basics but unfortunately under the hot Australian sun, it's very hard to wear black in summer. I like both styles of these shirts and would ideally like to buy them in black as well but first I have to find a decent quality (I hate it when my basics are nearly sheer themselves) and a decent price.
So there you have it. If I can stick to this shopping list for the month I will feel very accomplished! I would also love to get a pair of red or wine coloured jeans but I don't think my clothing budget for the can stretch that far. There's always next month!

Blue Dress, Gold Buttons

Blue Dress - Best & Less
Blazer - Forever 21
Black Belt - Boohoo
Jewellery - Diva, Lovisa
Black Pumps - Target
----------
I want to start posting outfits a little more regularly and that means getting a little bit creative with the clothes I wear to work. I work in a corporate office with a fairly relaxed dress code but I tend to get lazy and repeat the same blouse-and-peplum-skirt combination most days of the week. However since the whole point of starting this blog was to make me more mindful of how I dress, I have decided to extend this to work as well.
I wore this outfit to work yesterday and I actually have a similar version of this outfit planned for a party or a date in the future. It's amazing how something as simple as a smart black blazer and the right accessories (and shoes) can make all the difference when dressing up or down a bright statement dress. I also chose to wear my glasses for these photos as well to make the work outfit complete!
So what do you think? Could you wear something like this to work?

Will You Be My Valentine?

Dress - Dotti
Pumps - Target
Heart Cuff - Lovisa
Lipstick - Lime Crime
----------
I admit this outfit is rather simple but sometimes you just can't beat the classics. A little black dress paired with black heels and some sweet accessories is all you need to look chic and pretty on Valentine's Day. I love lace yoke on this dress and the cut-out back makes it a visually interesting dress from all angles. I paired it with a simple silver heart cuff to get into the spirit of romance and some red lipstick for a pop of colour. My boyfriend loved this outfit on me.
What did you wear for your special someone today? I'd love to see your Valentine's Day outfits!
xoxo

All Dressed Up

Here I Go Again Dress - Princess Polly
Summer Feather Dress - Princess Polly
Forget about the little black dress, this week I am on the hunt for the perfect little white dress and they're providing somewhat difficult. The stores (online and not) are full of them at the moment however finding the perfect one is nearly impossible! These two from Princess Polly are pretty close to what I am after but with a price tag of $165 and $85 respectively, it might be some time before I can afford to buy one. It's a shame because I would have loved a white dress to wear for Valentine's Day next week!
Edwina Lace Dress - Forever New
Forever New also released their newest collection this week and, of course, it contained a white dress! I definitely like the lace detailing of this dress more than the two from Princess Polly however it also carries a price of $80. I'm a bit happier to pay that from Forever New because I know their sewing quality and fabrics are 110% worth the price. Now I just have to decide between this dress and the cute LBD below!
Immortal Lace Yoke Dress - Dotti
As I mentioned above, I am also considering buying this dress from Dotti for Valentine's Day. I have been chasing a dress in a similar style for a long time now and I know it's something my boyfriend would really like on me. What do you think? Black or white?

Cut Out Gold Torque - Forever New
This is obviously not a dress but it is beautiful all the same. I love the intricate details and the free edges of this necklace. It is truly beautiful and definitely high on my wish list. I need more (gold) jewellery like this!
PU Seam Detail Pants - Dotti
These imitation leather pants are not a dress either but I am still lusting over them pretty badly. I really like how they don't seem too shiny and the stitched seam detail makes them a little bit different. If I go and buy that dress I mentioned, I might have to try these on while I'm there so I can maybe buy them online once I get paid! Fingers crossed they still have my size by then.
xoxo

Once Upon A Time

Mint Skirt - Supré
Blouse - Forever New
Bow Belt - TopShop
Studded Pumps - Payless Shoes
Jewellery - DivaLovisa, Camden Markets,
Surfer's Paradise Markets
----------
I wore this outfit today on a brunch date with my boyfriend today. We don't often go out to eat together because I am actually a personal trainer and like to stay healthy, so it was a nice treat for both of us.
I actually wanted to take pictures of this outfit earlier in the week to make my outfit posts a bit more consistent but on the day we were going to photograph it, it was so windy that my skirt wouldn't stay still! Luckily the weather was better today (even if it was getting dark when we were taking photos) and we were able to take pictures in the garden.
I hope you are all having a nice weekend!
xoxo

Leather, Studs and Epic Shoes

Imitation Leather Trousers - H&M
I've become a little bit obsessed with leather and imitation leather at the moment and I would love a pair of pants like these ones above from H&M. Unfortunately I'm a little concerned about sizing and if these pants would be flattering so until I see some in a store here in Australia that I can try on, I might just have to love these from afar.
Alex Dress by Motel - TopShop
I have never been so devastated in my life that a dress is sold out in my size. I saw this dress randomly whilst browsing through TopShop's website and fell head over heels for it, even with the £48 price tag. The studded leather peplum detailing is absolutely stunning. I may actually be in mourning over never being able to get this dress.
Knitted Stud Shoulder Jumper - TopShop
I bought a black sweater similar to this while I was in Paris over Christmas but I am a little bit in love with it in white/ivory as well. This jumper looks so cosy and I'm really quite obsessed with subtle stud detail like this. An absolutely beautiful piece of clothing!
Deena & Ozzy Amadeus Metal Tip Skimmer - Urban Outfitters
I have black ballet flats with gold detailing but so far I haven't been able to find a pair with silver detailing that I really liked. Fortunately I spotted these on Urban Outfitters while browsing and fell in love! I really need to curb my spending a little bit though so hopefully these will still be available in my size at the end of the week/next week (closer to pay day!) so that I can buy them. I love the metal tipped toe detailing on these. Gorgeous!
Hough - Jeffrey Campbell
I've been looking for a pair of heeled sandals with a thick ankle strap for a little while now and it's really no surprise that my search would end with Jeffrey Campbell. Unfortunately almost every single style of Jeffrey Campbell shoes seem to be sold out everywhere online. I hope Solestruck.com restock soon!
Night Walk Distressed Black - Jeffrey Campbell
Though speaking of Jeffrey Campbell, through a stroke of luck I managed to obtain a pair of these distressed leather Night Walks for next to nothing! I have been dreaming of the day I could afford a pair of these shoes and through some savvy clothes swapping I managed to score a pair second-hand from a friend in America. I am ridiculously excited to finally have these shoes on my feet!! Let's just hope they're easier to walk in than they look!
