Sequins, Studs & Lace

Harriet Lace Tank - Forever New
This lace tank from Forever New is so pretty and very feminine! I'm lusting over it pretty badly but without the perfect pair of denim shorts to pair it with, I just can't justify buying it, especially with a $70 price tag! So for now, until the perfect pair of summer shorts can be found, it will have to remain on my wishlist.
Louisa Lace Insert Sleeveless Shirt - Forever New
I have been searching for the perfect sleeveless blouse in white all summer and I finally found one in Forever New. I love the hints of gold from the buttons and the subtle lace detailing.  A very pretty little shirt that I can't wait to style for you.
Angie Gold Shiny Sequin Dress - Oh My Love
I am a little bit in love with this gold sequin dress from an online UK store called Oh My Love and after much contemplation I ended up buying it for my birthday celebrations this year, even though my birthday is still 4 months away! This dress is just flashy enough to be perfect for a birthday party but the bodycon shape makes it a little bit classy, especially paired with a black blazer or a leather jacket. And it's currently on sale for $25! Such a bargain!
Fraankie Black Leather Boots - Steve Madden
With January slowly coming to an end I have been keeping a watchful eye on the ever increasing amount of winter season fashion creeping into the stores, as well as the discounted winter fashion leaving the northern hemisphere stores. These boots by Steve Madden (currently on sale at Urban Outfitters) are just divine. I love the studded detail of these boots!
I seem to be buying so many things from my wishlist lately thanks to selling lots of my old things on eBay that I am starting to think this should be my weekly shopping post instead of a wishlist! What do you guys think, do you like reading these posts? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Under My Umbrella (Ooh Baby It's Rainin')

Neon Blouse - H&M
Shorts - Black Milk Clothing
Peep Toe Heels - Zu Shoes
Jewellery - DivaLovisaPandora
Lipstick - Lime Crime Velvetines
Umbrella - Random Chemist/Drug Store
----------
The weather is very miserable and it has been raining all day but I still wanted to take these pictures outdoors in my garden because the wet wooden fence and the overcast sky I thought were a really nice contrast to the brightness of my shirt. I got a bit wet taking these pictures but they turned out exactly how I hoped so I don't mind! I also added the umbrella at the last minute because it was raining a lot heavier than I was expecting.
This blouse was a bit of an unexpected love of mine. It's not my normal style or colour choice but the beading on the collar was such a lovely detail that I couldn't pass it up! I picked it up in H&M while I was in London recently. I'm so sad we don't get H&M in Australia but thankfully my family lives in London so I can buy online and have them forward the packages on to me! Yay!
Anyway as it's a very rainy Friday night I am going to go watch The Vampire Diaries and snuggle with my cats (and boyfriend!) on the couch. What are you up to this weekend?

Product Review: Lime Crime Velvetines (Red Velvet)

You may remember from my very first post on this blog that I have been dying to get my hands on a Red Velvet lipstick from Lime Crime's Velvetines collection.  Red Velvet and its twin (Suedeberry) have been sold out absolutely everywhere online for a little while but I finally managed to track one down this week from a website called Tragic Beautiful and it arrived yesterday.
Initially I was very impressed with the product. The packaging is exactly as pictured and very cute. The colour of the lipstick itself is absolutely gorgeous! It goes on much like a lip gloss however it dries very quickly into a matte finish that is supposed to last and last.
Unfortunately, by lunch time I was starting to get a little bit disappointed with the lipstick. Despite moisturizing my lips with lip balm 20 minutes before applying the lipstick, my lips got very dry very quickly and as a result the lipstick started to stick to itself as well as go a bit flaky and in places come off. I had to touch up mid-morning and then again after eating lunch because it had come off even more by then. I also noticed it was starting to bleed/run around the edges of my lips despite my lip liner! Not a good look!

Overall I would recommend this lipstick but only for a night out where you are only going for drinks. I wouldn't recommend it as an every day lipstick (despite the amazing colour) or if you are going to be eating food because it goes very dry and just doesn't stay in place as advertised by Lime Crime or like my friends have been saying.
And be careful if you make a mistake whilst applying it! It stains your skin quite easily!
I will have a new outfit post (or two) up over the weekend for you but until then, enjoy the sneak peak of my H&M blouse in the picture above!

Roses Are Red, Red, Red

I've had this blog for a whole week now and I've decided to make a weekly trend of posting a list of things I've discovered during the course of the previous week that I'm desperate to get my hands on and add to my wardrobe. So stay tuned every weekend for a new post of weekly fashion finds!
Sparkle & Fade Ponte Knit Blazer - Urban Outfitters
After starting to follow lookbook.nu for fashion ideas, I was really inspired to get my hands on my own red blazer. They look amazing with a pair of super skinny jeans and a simple white shirt. After hunter around online for weeks (seriously, it's summer in Australia and anything with sleeves longer than a t-shirt is just impossible to find) and mulling over a couple from Forever 21, I think I've finally decided on this one from Urban Outfitters. I ended up purchasing it on Monday night and can't wait for it to arrive!
Bluebell Studded Tee - Forever New
It's surprisingly hard to find really decent basics for a reasonable price in Australia. You can either go super cheap and get really poor quality items that you often have to wear another shirt underneath because they're so thin or you can pay ridiculous amounts of money for a simple t-shirt.  Fortunately Forever New have unique basics like this studded tee for a moderate price and good quality. I may have been naughty and purchased this on payday...
Pins & Needles Ponte Knit Peplum Top - Urban Outfitters
I'm a little bit obsessed with red at the moment if you couldn't tell and also with peplum style tops. I own plenty of peplum skirts but my wardrobe is severely lacking in tops. I'm going to keep my eye on this for the coming cooler months. How great would it look with some fashionable black leggings, disco pants or skinny jeans?
Staring at Stars Crepe Studded Shoulder Dress - Urban Outfitters
I'm a little bit in love with studded clothing at the moment and so I think the detailing on this dress from Urban Outfitters is just gorgeous! Unfortunately the reviews all imply that the sleeves are quite constricting and with an $80 price tag, I think this is one dress I am doomed to lust after and lust after only.
Pins & Needles Backless Lace Dress - Urban Outfitters
Along with my red obsession I also seem to be a little preoccupied with Urban Outfitters at the moment. It's hard to find a good clothing store that delivers to Australia, let alone for free for orders over $50. I just hope it's still on sale when I have the money to buy it!
Black Full Skater Skirt - TopShop
Last week I mentioned the trouble I was having finding a faux leather skater skirt and I think this week I have finally found the perfect one from TopShop! It's a little bit (okay, a  lot) more expensive than the one from Necessary Clothing I posted last week but the material seems much better quality and it has really good reviews. I ended up purchasing it on Friday after selling some things on eBay from my ongoing wardrobe rehab and I can't wait until it arrives!
Double Layer Silver Spike Necklace - Lovisa
And finally for this week we have this gorgeous spiked necklace from an Australian accessories store called Lovisa. I'm a little bit obsessed with spiked jewellery at the moment and this is definitely the best spiked necklace I have found so far. I hope to be able to find it in-store soon so I don't have to go to the trouble of buying it online!
Anyway tonight I am going to a casual party and tomorrow to the beach so hopefully I will have some new outfit posts for you during the week!
xoxo

In the Summertime You Are All Mine

Blazer - Forever 21
Top - Forever New
Shoes - Coté-A-Coté (Paris)
Bag - Dotti
Jewellery - Lovisa

----------
So here it is, my first outfit post for this blog. I'm a little bit nervous about posting this if I'm honest. I've taken plenty of "selfie" photos for my Instagram before but posing for someone else to take photos was a bit strange, even if it was just my boyfriend taking them for me in our garden. I think he did a good job though, don't you?
I put this outfit together to wear to see The Hobbit with my boyfriend last night but I think I might wear it on Friday night when I go for dinner and drinks with a good friend of mine. This blazer caught my eye while I was in London but once I got home, I didn't know what I could wear it with until winter came around again. After looking through lookbook.nu and some fashion blogs for inspiration, I decided to try and pair it with some nice shorts and I'm really happy with how it turned out.
Let me know what you think?

Rendezvous With Fashion: An Introduction

Welcome! Somehow you've stumbled across my first proper attempt at a fashion blog, Rendezvous With Fashion.
My first ever attempt at writing a fashion blog ended up going off on a massive tangent and was sadly abandoned shortly after it started. However after a recent trip to Paris and London I was inspired to not only revamp my wardrobe and my 'look' but to also give fashion blogging another try.
So a little bit about me... My name is Rebecca, I'm a 25-year-old from Australia with a newly discovered love affair with fashion. I've personally never really been the type of girl to keep with trends or bother much about what I'm wearing but I've always loved pretty clothes. I hope this blog will not only teach me to be more mindful of how I dress and what I buy but will also inspire others to be brave and experiment with your own fashion style, especially if you're not 100% happy with it!
Now to make this post actually a little more on topic, here are some things I am currently lusting after and am dying to add to my wardrobe as soon as possible.
Hi Hater Leather Mini Skirt - Necessary Clothing
I became obsessed with leather-look skirts after finding the most lovely one in Forever 21 on Oxford Street while I was in London last month. Unfortunately for me they appeared sold out in my size in every single Forever 21 store! So I did the smart thing and turned to the internet to try and find one... and I did! But after purchasing the skirt I went back to read the product reviews and apparently it is a wet look skirt rather than a fake leather skirt like I wanted. I'm still on the hunt for a proper fake leather one and at $14.99 I think this one from Necessary Clothing just might just be the one I've been searching for!
Spartans Lace Leggings - Black Milk Clothing
I am a longtime fan of Black Milk Clothing (an Australian label designed and sewn all in my hometown of Brisbane) and am currently lusting after a pair of their Spartans Lace Leggings. These leggings never really appealed to me at first but I bought some amazing sweaters and blazers in Paris and London that I think would go perfectly with these leggings. I am determined to buy them before winter rolls around again! And if you haven't checked out Black Milk Clothing before, you definitely should. They're a little bit expensive but once you buy a pair you will understand the quality and customer service is just fantastic and makes the price tag worth every cent.
Lara Studded Collar & Cuff Chiffon Shirt - boohoo.com
I have always had a little bit of a soft spot for anything studded or spiked, so this button-up shirt from boohoo.com is just perfect in my opinion! I'm just waiting for payday next week before buying this lovely blouse. I've been in need of a long-sleeved white shirt for quite a while and with the studded collar and cuffs, I just can't pass this one up. Perfect!
Alaina Triple Spiked Bracelet - boohoo.com
Speaking of studs, I am currently loving spiked jewelry as well as spiked and studded clothing. I think this gorgeous bracelet, also from boohoo.com, just might find its way into my shopping cart when I purchase the shirt above. I am quite new to wearing gold accessories but I think this bracelet will just go perfectly with some of the blouses and sweaters I bought in London and Paris. It's a definite must-have in my mind for the coming season to add an edgy touch to any outfit.
Velvetines Red Velvet - Lime Crime
I am simply dying to get this little number into my make-up bag! Velvetines by Lime Crime are not only cruelty free but they're vegan as well and according to reports from my friends, they stay and stay and stay through kissing, eating, drinking and a whole night of partying without needing to reapply at all. Sounds amazing! One thing that has always put me off regularly wearing lipstick is the reapplying factor so I really can't wait to give this a try.
Sanchia Snaffle Scallop Hem Shorts - Forever New
And finally we have these scallop hem shorts from Forever New. I absolutely adore Forever New but their regular clothes have always seemed a little bit out of my price range until I decided to start putting quality over quantity when it comes to fashion. These navy shorts are super cute and definitely a must-have for the remainder of the Australian summer.
That's all until next time, I'm afraid. I will definitely blog again soon with some outfits I've put together that I can't wait to share with you!
xoxo
